Resolving Chronic Low Back Pain: The Foot Connection
I was the first person to demonstrate that chronic low back pain could be eliminated, not just managed.
This research was part of a series ofdiscoveries that ultimately led to a therapy that, in many cases, permanently eliminates chronic musculoskeletal pain without the use of drugs or surgery. This therapy is called Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy, in which I use a series of tests, proprietary computer analyses, custom designed Rothbart Proprioceptive Insoles and ongoing monitoring to address all of the changes in the patients condition and necessary changes in prescriptions, until the chronic muscle and/or joint pain is eliminated.
Here is an excerpt from the article, "Resolving Chronic Low BackPain. The Foot Connection.", published in the American Journal of Pain Management (Rothbart, Hansen and Liley, 1995), that supports this discovery:
"Low back pain is one of the most common complaints seen by health care providers. Usually, the back pain is not related to a specific injury. Rather, the back pain develops insidiously, progressing from mild in early life to debilitating in later life. Many low back pain sufferers are treated by a number of health care providers. However, in most cases, when therapy ends, back pain returns.
The findings of the present, preliminary study suggest that [Rothbarts Foot] is a leading cause of chronic low back pain. Biomechanically, [Rothbarts Foot] forces the foot to roll inward, downward and forward (abnormally pronate). The displaces the body’s line of gravity forward and orchestrates the forward pelvic rotation. The engineer expresses this concept as “Where the foundation goes, so goes the rest of the building.”
Clinical evidence from the low back study generated from over 1000 patient profiles suggest that (1) there is a direct link between Rothbarts Foot and chronic low back pain and (2) Rothbarts Insoles are effective in eliminating chronic low back pain."
